When I saw the colors for the Play Date Cafe.. I knew instantly what I wanted to do.. they are so fun and fresh.. I couldn't wait to play along.. Also at CAS-ual Fridays they are having a "let's strip" challenge.. so I got the idea for the sky from them.. I really wanted to add some interest to my card, since I knew it was going to be a CAS card.. so I used felt for the clouds.. and popped the little one up on pop dots. The 9 was taken out of the strips of paper used to make the sky. I also popped the whole sky piece up so that they 9 would be shadowed.. I wanted to use the yellow under the 9 but didn't want just a plain yellow.. so I found a piece of old ledger in one of the paper packs I had. I love how it turned out.. just gives it a tiny bit more interest.. I was so inspired by one of my favorite cards ever.. from my friend BARB.. she rocked this card here... that I new right away that I wanted to case it and make it my own.. :)
I loved the card, but felt like it needed just a little something more.. so I decided to paper pierce the edges.. giving it just a little bit more, without adding anymore color..
