Hey everyone!!! It's finally here.. Now you can play along with The Play Date Cafe Challenge. Can you tell I am sooooo EXCITED!!!!!! Each challenge will go for one week, where you will be inspired by the design team, there will be prizes, and special buttons for your sidebar for the winners of the challenges, and a lot of good people to have fun with and to inspire you. The women that are playing the challenges have A LOT of amazing talent. I hope you will come and join us and play along this week with us and every week after... Here is the CREATIVITY CHALLENGE for week 1 that the amazingly talented Julie came up with. I love the colors.. so much fun, and the inspiration for this challenge is so different from others. That is one of the things I love about the Play Date Cafe.. so come on and join us..
Here is the piece I made. I wanted to do something that went along with the photo for Challenge 1 but I wanted to make sure that it was a little out of the box.. so a little witch hat is what came to mind. I ended up covering a styrofoam "tree" one from the craft store. I made the base of the hat out of cardboard and covered it with paper. I then punched out 1" circles and glued them ALL over.. I took a piece of orange cardstock and wrapped it around the base of the hat. I then made a FREE OWL Digi Stamp(scroll down to bottom), when I envisioned this hat.. I thought automatically of a cute little owl.. so I made one up..I then added some white string a button spider with googly eyes too.
