Bare feet welcome...

I am not ready to give up summer just yet.. So here is a simple creation I made.. totally being inspired by the challenge my sweet friend Lynn is hosting at Do More With Less... :) & Emily's challenge.. with the grass in her picture.. since this will be going on my door for a few weeks at least.. I thought it would be perfect for her "home challenge"
So you are asking.. what did you do? well... I used an old wreath I got from Wally World for 3 dollars... it was covered in red, white, and blue flowers for memorial day.. I took it apart.. and found this yarn I had lying around.. I wrapped the wreath and made pom, poms to make it look like grass.. I then took some twine, and some scraps of paper and made the banner... the "bare feet welcome" is held on by a sucker stick, that Liberty kindly ate for me.. (of course we washed it;) I added little white flowers for a fun little added touch!
Thanks so much for stopping by and looking :) I had seen a wreath like this before and wanted to make my own.. and now I did :) hugs

Pink Cat Studio Butterfly Contest

Hey everyone!!! Well.. I went ahead and entered the contest for the Pink Cat Studio (use their paper piecing butterfly pattern) to create something.. anything that you want.. :)
Soo... here is what I did.. :) I had a blast creating this wall hanger.. I hand cut the butterflies, I used 3d pop dots to lift up the body, bent the top wings up to give it a 3d effect, I used a pink glitter paper for the top wings and punched 3 holes on each wing to add a little bit of fun.... I took puffy paint and added dots to the bottom wings, and attached rhinestone gems to the top of the antennas... I sewed the edges of the patterned paper to hold it down to the base, applied white puffy paint dots to the orange background scallops, added a fun rub on, 3 monochromatic brads.. oh.. and I distressed everything..

can you see the dots? and the 3d effect of the cute butterfly :)
I didn't stop there...

I also created a cute hair bow for my daughters hair..created out of fabric.. :)

Well thanks so much for looking.. :) HUGS

Play Date Cafe Challenge #1

Hey everyone!!! It's finally here.. Now you can play along with The Play Date Cafe Challenge. Can you tell I am sooooo EXCITED!!!!!! Each challenge will go for one week, where you will be inspired by the design team, there will be prizes, and special buttons for your sidebar for the winners of the challenges, and a lot of good people to have fun with and to inspire you. The women that are playing the challenges have A LOT of amazing talent. I hope you will come and join us and play along this week with us and every week after... Here is the CREATIVITY CHALLENGE for week 1 that the amazingly talented Julie came up with. I love the colors.. so much fun, and the inspiration for this challenge is so different from others. That is one of the things I love about the Play Date Cafe.. so come on and join us..
Here is the piece I made. I wanted to do something that went along with the photo for Challenge 1 but I wanted to make sure that it was a little out of the box.. so a little witch hat is what came to mind. I ended up covering a styrofoam "tree" one from the craft store. I made the base of the hat out of cardboard and covered it with paper. I then punched out 1" circles and glued them ALL over.. I took a piece of orange cardstock and wrapped it around the base of the hat. I then made a FREE OWL Digi Stamp(scroll down to bottom), when I envisioned this hat.. I thought automatically of a cute little owl.. so I made one up..I then added some white string a button spider with googly eyes too. I hope you are inspired and want to come and play with us at The Play Date Cafe.
Don't forget to grab the button that says "I play at The Play Date Cafe" from the bottom of my post. Put it on your sidebar, and go to Julie's blog and post a comment that you did so so you can be entered into some AMAZING blog candy!!

Footwear

Here is a fun Witch Shoe I did.. I got the idea from JEN she is the most creative, and inspiring person.. Mine is a little different.. but you get the idea.. I also did it for the challenges at High Hopes Stamps & DCRUS #7, and Whimsy Stamp I think since I used so many thing in my house on this project.. And of course I didn't create a card.. I took to these challenges quite well. I used, everything from, cardboard, safety pins, an old necklace (to tie her sock with) material, button, ribbons, googly eyes, puffy paint, tinker toy, ello toy's,and bells (for the heel of her shoe) and of course I stamped the scallops and distressed EVERYTHING..lol :) etc.. I really had a fun time making this. I love how it turned out.. Thanks so much for looking..

I ended up steeling my sons "tinker toy" and a couple of Ello's and covered them.. hehe shhh don't tell

MMSC #15

This is for the Midnight Madness MMSC15 sketch at Priscillastyles. I LOVE how this turned out. I took the sketch and turned it into a goodies/treat bag sort of card. Since Halloween is coming up soon I thought it would be fun to incorporate that. I put gumball eyes in as the treat to give it a fun spooky flair. I hope you like it. I really enjoyed making it. If anyone is interested I can post the details on how to make this. Thanks again for looking..

Altered Hanger

This altered hanger was so much fun to make. I made this cute tutu bow holder for my daughter for her birthday but I didn't have anything to hang it on. I didn't just want to stick it on the wall.. so this is what I came up with. I hung this on the outside of her door... it is so much easier just to grab a bow or a flower on the way out.. If you have any questions please let me know.. thanks for looking.. :)

SPCC Color Combo 10

I thought it would be fun for this challenge to do something a little different.. so I came up with this cute little hanger.. I love the colors the SPCC chose for this challenge and was really excited to see my creation come to life.. I figured it would be fun to make something a little out of the box.. I figured I could hang keys, my little girls bow holder or a back pack.. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at what I created..
